Winners of the RBWM Athletics Shield
On Wednesday 28 June the U13 athletics team headed to the Thames Valley Athletics Centre for the RBWM Athletics League Finals.
Throughout the morning the boys showed excellent team performance. In the two previous league meetings the team had qualified in third place in what was a very tight competition between 12 schools. On finals day, the two stand out performances were from Jaco Overturf who won the Long Jump and Gabriel Baker who won the 800 metres breaking the existing school record. However all fifteen members of the team performed well with numerous high placed finishes, thus enabling the team to score well in all events and win the competition.
The winning squad is as follows:
Tony Uwaga, Ben Morgan, Jaco Overturf, Tom Molhoek, Tommy James, Jake Bennett, Gabriel Baker, Jordan Talia, James Palmer, Connor Peters, Benjamin Dyer, Joel Boden, Charlie Milligan, Dan Gribben and Flynn Bayliss.
The results were as follows:
1st Claires Court 144 points
2nd Desborough 119 points
3rd Charters 'A' 108 points
4th Dedworth 104 points
