Competitive Performances at ISA Drama
Three groups from Junior and Senior Girls took part in the ISA Drama Competition held at Hurst Lodge on Friday 3 March.
Having rehearsed well and with costumes and fascinating storylines, the girls made their teacher proud by putting on fantastic performances. We won’t know the results for a couple of weeks but here are the storylines for each performance;
Whale Music
A tender domestic story about ambition and friendship in a group of young women, telling the story of a somewhat naïve pregnant student and her winter retreat to the coastal town of her birth. It examines the female relationships formed amongst a variety of characters.
Mother Figure
Lucy is a mother of three, a housebound wife who rarely sees her husband Harry and has reached the point where she barely bothers to look after herself, not answering the phone or door.
Neighbours Rosemary and Terry come round with news of her husband – Lucy proceeds to treat her guests as children.
Once Upon a Time in Fairy Land
When the Magic Mirror tells the Queen she’s not as fair as Snow White, the miffed monarch sets off to the Seven Dwarfs Bar, where the mirror says Snow White is working.
Only to find Goldilocks hiding out from the Three Bears. Will Snow White be at the Princess Ball? The hunt is on.
