I say "pupils" rather than "boys" as, for the very first time, we were joined by a young lady from Junior Girls. Megan Sykes, in becoming the first girl to join our tournaments, sets a precedent (and I hope an example to her peers) that we are looking to build on in the future. The chess club at Junior Girls is in its first year, but after Megan's participation I have no doubt it will go from strength to strength. Very well done and thank you, Megan!
