‘The Oscars’ 2017
Year 9 Music Technology pupils have been working hard to produce some fantastic pieces of work. From eight videos, the girls voted and narrowed it down to four finalists which were then judged by Paul Bevis, Headteacher and Kim and Katy from the Marketing Department.
Hester Goodsell, Director of Music, tells us what the girls had to do:
'To create a film with an original soundtrack' was the very loose brief that Year 9 were presented with at the start of the summer term. The project was a collaboration between music and ICT. This allowed pupils to focus on their own strengths and interests, whether on animation, film shorts, music editing and producing or sound fx.’
And the winners were....
WINNER BEST FILM: 'Why are you so quiet' Jazzy, Emily, Charlotte, Maddie
WINNER BEST SOUNDTRACK: 'The Haunted' Lauren, Jessie, Harriet
WINNER BEST MESSAGE: ‘Stand Out’ Kate, Jess, Sophie, Hannah
WINNER BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY: ‘Words Have Consequences’ Kaya, Ruby, Becky, Maya
The winner will be now entered into the ISA film shorts competition which can be seen below. All the videos can be viewed on our Youtube channel here.
