Dubbed Knights at Windsor Castle

Year 1 boys enjoyed a very busy and very hot day at Windsor Castle on Wednesday 5 July. The boys were lucky to get treated like royalty and skip all the long queues.
Miss Bethan Morris, Year 1 teacher said:
“The boys were able to name all the parts of the castle such as the motte, battlements and arrow slits. They have been learning about these all term and were finally able to see it for real.
We learned lots from a wonderful lady called Catherine in the State Apartments. She dressed us up as a King, Page, Squire and Knight. After this she took us to the throne room all dressed up so that we could be dubbed with a sword by Queen Holder (or Mrs Holder as we know her at School). We have now written letters to Catherine to thank her for such a wonderful time.
We enjoyed a sunny picnic on the long walk in Windsor Park before returning to the castle and looking around the chapel. We had a wonderful day.”
