Crowned Bowl Champions at Rugby Tournament

The U11 Rugby 7s Team travelled to The Oratory School for their second competitive tournament of the season on Saturday 5 March.
In the snow, rain, hail and sunshine the boys started the day off by playing three group games against: St John’s Beaumont (10-5 loss), Caldicott (10-10 draw) and Crackley Hall (45-0 victory). As a result they progressed to the Bowl Semi-Final where they came up against hosts OPS; with excellent rugby and some brilliant break away tries the boys won 20-5. The boys moved into the Bowl Final with St Mary's as opponents. The final turned out to be a close game with both teams tackling hard and scoring excellent tries, with the final score of 20-15 the Junior Boys were crowned Bowl Champions.
George Grose, team coach said;
“With difficult opposition and the weather against us the boys showed great determination and some excellent team work. An outstanding effort boys, and with a great tournament victory you did everyone proud!”
