Senior Activity Week 2017
Activity Week 2017 ran from Monday 10 July - Thursday 11 July and was enjoyed by boys and girls from Year 7 to Year 10. The week aimed to further instill our Claires Court values and essentials such as responsibility, collaboration and risk-taking.
There was a large element of outdoor education ensuring that the pupils were faced with adventure and challenge with activities ranging from camps and bush-craft to river-safaris, dragon-boating, team-building days and much more.
Year 10 also took part in service work for our local community, working with the Maidenhead Waterways Restoration Group to open up some of the water channels around the area. Amidst all of this we hope that the pupils also had a lot of fun!
Richard Davenport, Chair of Maidenhead Waterways Group, said, “We were delighted to have the opportunity to introduce Year 10 pupils to the waterways project that is helping to transform Maidenhead town centre and especially appreciated their practical assistance to clear weeds from the Moor Cut channel to improve the flow. It is mucky work, but it seems it was great fun too!”
