BBC School News Report

Today is BBC School Report day. A fantastic opportunity for our pupils to make their own news reports for a real audience.
This year, boys in Year 9, with the aid of voiceovers from Year 11 pupils, has seen the team produce a report about the resurgence of the ‘Rubik’s cube’.
Final filming has taken place over the last few days and the video has now been carefully edited into a concise report. In the later stages voiceover audio was recorded and added along, with the introductory graphics supplied by the BBC.
André Boulton, Head of ICT at Claires Court Senior Boys, commented on the benefits of the project, “The School has been involved BBC School Report for many years. It allows pupils to investigate, research, film and produce a short video, which is then published. The boys develop a range of skills during the process and in particular discover how companies like the BBC work under pressure to meet deadlines.
