They explored the story of ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’, found out how chocolate grows and also the importance of a healthy diet.  They then had the chance to make their own chocolate goodies.

This was thanks to a visit from the Chocolate Factory when the girls enjoyed a fun workshop. They were taught where chocolate comes from and how it is made, before embarking on a chocolatey mission. The first task was to create a chocolate bar filling it with exciting titbits such as marshmallow mice, chocolate eggs and smarties… the possibilities were endless! The second was to make a chocolate lollipop, decorating with equally delightful toppings and the final task was to package their products ready to take home.
It was a tasty treat of a day, one that was thoroughly enjoyed and won’t be forgotten for a while.
