A Great Fire at Junior Boys
The Great Fire of London was last term’s topic for Year 2 boys. To help their understanding of events during this historical moment in time and how the fire spread, the boys made houses and then burnt them! What a 'great fire' it was!
The boys were amazed at how quickly each house caught fire, fortunately there was some water on hand so they also helped put the fire out.
Back in class the boys wrote accounts about the fire, letters to Samuel Pepys, and made some amazing pictures of the Great Fire. This fantastic array of work is now on display in the Year 2 classrooms.
