Next Stop... The Americas!
The worldly adventure continued as Holiday Activities celebrated in the good old USA. There was a lot of patriotic red, white and blue fun including a giant game of ‘Capture the American Flag’. Throughout the week children produced some amazing creations including the ‘hands on’ construction of an American Eagle and a giant Captain America!
At last the sun shone so outside the children grappled with the ‘bad cowboys’ in an entertaining water fight using water pistols to stop the cattle from being stolen with one or two staff getting a little soaking as they ventured into the firing line!
With happy, shattered children the week was rounded off with a fun American pastime - going to the movies including a popcorn treat!
Kool Xtra saw a group having Warhammer battles, Craft Club created stunning woollen birds and beach bags and Digital Media learned more about photography and created their own Photo montage.
Over at Sport Xtra children were given a head start with a three day course preparing them for the commencement of the Rugby season with sessions delivered by qualified coaches aimed at developing spatial awareness, teamwork, kicking skills, passing and catching.
