Studying Trees and Crayfish!
Year 2 girls and Boys went to The Rye, High Wycombe on Wednesday. Together they investigated and identified trees by studying the bark, and looked for the much sought after crayfish in the stream by climbing over stepping stones.
They also found some Miller's Thumb fish, which were very well camouflaged the children stuggled to see it in their net. It was a packed day of fun and learning!
Pupil Daniel said, 'I liked the stepping stones, it was very fun. I liked the bit when we were looking in the stream. We did bark rubbings and leaf rubbings and I found a seed for a London Plane.'
