Celebrating the Work of Farmers
.jpg)
The theme this year for the Junior Boys Harvest Festival was tractors and farmers. All the boys celebrated the festival with poems, songs, hymns and a quartet playing Vivaldi's Autumn 1st and 3rd Movements. It was a heartwarming and a poignant reminder of the work our farmers have to do so that we can have food on our tables at home and in school.
The sports hall was decorated with pictures of tractors and hay bales, fruit and vegetables grown by the boys and the food so generously provided by our parents. We even had a visit from a walking, talking scarecrow (otherwise known as Mr Gillespie).
All the proceeds from the day go to support the work of Maidenhead Foodshare.
