Success on the Sports Field

Congratulations to both our hockey and tennis teams whose drive and determination have secured entry to the next round of their respective competitions.

Well done to the  U14 Hockey squad, featuring girls from Years 7-9 and led by captain Emily Tapner-Evans, on their qualification to the County Finals  The squad were unbeaten all day and taking on Holme Grange, St Marys, Newlands, Holyport and LVS.

The girls finals will see them play against Wellington, Bradfield, and Pangbourne College.

Jo Cox, Head of PE said, “This will be a huge test for our girls but we are simply proud of them for getting there!  Thoroughly deserved and well done and good luck to all involved!”

TennisAnother successful performance by our U15 tennis team saw them become County Champions after a convincing win against Bradfield College beating them 10-2 (winning five matches and only losing one).  This competition runs through to September from matches played in the Summer Term and the girls are now one step away from the Regional Finals in Exeter.  Lying in their way is a very talented team from St Helen & Katharine's School in Abingdon and the girls, led by captain Jemma Lancaster will face them on Wednesday 11 October.  We wish them the very best of luck!
