Exploring Rock Pools & Great Heights
Year 6 Boys and Girls spent four fantastic days at a PGL base in Osmington Bay. With a mixture of field studies and physical activities, the pupils fully immersed themselves in all aspects of the trip.
Tuesday was spent investigating the River Wey, looking at the way the river changes the closer it gets to the mouth. On Wednesday morning the group went rock pooling on the beach, taking extra care to avoid the Portuguese Man o’ War that had washed up on the shore!
As well as the field studies, the pupils loved the physical side of the trip, including abseiling, archery and orienteering! The collaboration, resilience and determination (and impeccable behaviour) shown by the boys and girls didn't go unnoticed by the staff and the PGL instructors!
The week ended with the group creating a display to show what they had learned during the week which parents were invited to.
