New Head for Junior Boys Appointed
On Thursday 30 November Claires Court announced the appointment of the new head for Junior Boys from September 2018.
In September 2018, Claires Court Junior Boys will welcome as its new head, Mr Dean Richards who is taking over from Justin Spanswick when the latter moves to a more corporate role within the School.
Dean has worked in a junior school environment for the past 14 years, most recently as a Deputy Head at Hampton Pre-Prep and Prep School. His experience is varied and mixed and will bring to the School not only his teaching and leadership expertise but a passion for sport.
On his appointment, Dean, who lives in Charvil, is married and a father of two, said,
“Education from the Early Years to Year 6 is a fantastic opportunity to develop a love and joy of learning. I am very excited and immensely proud to be offered the opportunity to develop my career and my own learning at Claires Court. My tour by the Year 6 pupils demonstrated what kind and thoughtful boys they are. I am looking forward to working in, and supporting this ethos whilst looking for chances to enhance our provision with a common sense approach. The future of the School and the proposed development is all very exciting and I am very fortunate to be joining an excellent team. I cannot wait until September.”
James Wilding, Academic Principal commented on the appointment, “Dean brings great additional experience of leadership at junior school level, with much experience of working within a larger whole school community, so is a great fit for Claires Court at this time of our development.”
