Decorating Christmas Trees
.jpg)
Our Junior Girls, Senior Girls and Sixth Form each sponsored a tree at St Luke’s Church and headed down on Thursday 7 December to decorate them.
Visitors are able to vote for the best tree, all the money raised from voting will go to the PLANETS, a charity based at Southampton General Hospital, dedicated to defeating Pancreas Liver And NeuroEndocrine Tumours (NETs), with other funds raised during the festival weekend being used for the work of St. Luke's Church. The Christmas trees will be delivered to a family for Christmas.
With a nod to the name of this year’s charity, our tree decorations were based on origami stars and planets! St Luke’s have 65 trees this year, the most they have ever had!
The pupils made their own decorations to put on the trees including our Head of Year 12 and Sixth Form Administrator who were very impressed with their tree!
Take a look at all the photos in our gallery.
