Stargazing In The Learning Dome
The Junior Boys Sports Hall was recently home to a Learning Dome. Boys in Year 1 and Year 5, and girls in Year 1 and Year 4, visited the dome to help with their Science studies.
A starry night was projected onto the roof of the dome for the pupils to locate five planets in the Solar System, and see constellations such as The Plough and Orion's Belt.
Rebecca Sadler, Year 1 Junior Girls teacher, said:
“The girls and boys had a fantastic time inside the Learning Dome. They gazed at the stars in awe as they saw the moon rise into the night sky, and found out how it reflected light.”
