Young Voices Raise The Roof
Our Year 4-6 Junior Boys and Girls travelled to The O2 Arena in London this week to sing their hearts out in the Young Voices Choir Concert.
Between 5,000-8,000 children performed as a single choir, and the concerts, run across the UK, are the largest children’s choir concerts in the world.
Lindsay King, Deputy Head of Junior Girls, commented:
“It was an absolutely amazing experience for the girls and boys and they all behaved and performed brilliantly throughout rehearsal all afternoon.
“The concert itself was outstanding. They did a wonderful version of ‘Africa’ which was a favourite of the Year 4 girls. The pupils also sang some 90s classics for the parents to dance to and a moving song called ‘The Call’ was a favourite of Mrs Stevenson while Mr Denton enjoyed the actions to Hakuna Matata! The high point for me was hearing all of the school choirs singing along with Clean Bandit to their hit Symphony.”
