It has been a busy half term in the Art Department and we have had five boys applying for their art scholarships to Claires Court Senior Boys.

The work the potential scholars produced was of an extremely high standard and encompassed many different areas and themes. Good luck to those involved.

Elsewhere, Year 3 boys have completed some impressive cartoon characters and have been developing their painting techniques.

Year 4 have been working on single line figures, Pop Art and the 3 dimensional map of 1666 London.

The Year 5 Journey topic has produced many excellent Abstract pieces involving interesting Journeys they have taken.

Year 6 have been working hard on making improvements to their observation drawing, painting techniques and completing work towards their Surrealism projects.

They have all been encouraged to develop their ideas and these studies really demonstrate our philosophy that “every child is an artist”.
