Chinese New Year Celebrations
Friday 16 February marked the start of the 2018 Chinese New Year, and our Year 1 boys made sure to celebrate by tasting Chinese specialities whilst learning about the Chinese Zodiac and the story of the Emperor’s Race.
The boys tried prawn crackers, veg spring rolls, chow mein noodles, fortune cookies and green tea. They also made Chinese red envelopes, commonly used to send gifts during Chinese New Year. They were delighted to come in after playtime to find that their envelopes had been filled with chocolate goodies!
