Queens Of The Castle!
Steeped in over 900 years of royal history and home to The Queen, Windsor Castle is a must-visit for anyone, regardless of age. Our Year 2 girls certainly enjoyed themselves during their visit.
They spent time in the Education Centre at the Castle, learning about murder holes and trying on different head pieces and helmets that the knights would have worn.
Emily Pridham, Year 2 teaching assistant, said:
“We looked out for the castle parts and defences that we have been learning about and found out that Windsor Castle has two baileys. Gordon, our teacher, was very impressed with the girls’ knowledge.”
