Reception Visit Normanhurst Residential Home
To help the youngest pupils understand more about the world around them and the community they live in, the Reception girls went to visit Normanhurst residential home in Maidenhead.
The girls enjoyed showing the residents the work they had been doing in their learning diaries and finding out more about each other. The girls couldn't believe some of the residents were nearly 100 years old!
Suzanne James, Reception teacher commented:
“The pupils’ time with the residents was a great success and we are hoping for subsequent visits, when we will engage in arts and craft activities, singing and games. We hope to develop their awareness and understanding of older generations.”
