Ashmolean And Pitt Rivers Museums Visit
Visiting the Pitt Rivers Museum and the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford, seeing some of the world’s great collections of anthropology and world archaeology was a brilliant experience for Year 8 boys.
The trip formed part of their Lent term project titled 'Pattern' and they were guided around both museums by specialists who engaged them in the collections from all over the world.
The pupils had the opportunity to draw from a wide range of objects in both museums and they documented their findings in their sketchbooks. The boys will produce a follow-up review of their experience and will develop some of their drawings in class.
