This was one of the best performances I have seen by a Claires Court Junior Boys side at any tournament. The boys played fluent two touch football throughout, creating many chances and keeping possession effectively in all matches. There were times where the opposition could not get the ball.

Our attacking players played with decisiveness, quick to the ball, with intelligent movement and accurate passing. Captained and inspired by Prabhan, the forward line of Prabham, Finn, Dylan, Oscar and Hugo, terrorised the defences. Finn ended up top scorer with four goals and Oscar contributed the most assists with four, both contributing to the winning goal in the final. Excellent defending by Billy, Alastair, James and Max kept the opposition’s attacks at bay.

The boys are really starting to gel as a team and they know each other’s’ strengths and weaknesses. This will keep them in good stead for the ISA National Tournament on Friday 23 March.

Not only did our boys act graciously on the field it was their off the field behaviour that also stood out. They were well behaved, well-mannered and courteous throughout the day. A credit to our school - well done.
