Rushall Farm
Year 7 girls and boys recently visited Rushall Farm in Reading to learn about organic farming methods.
The group completed a mini river study of the River Pang and measured the width, depth and velocity of the river. They also looked at the characteristics of different types of soil and the machinery and jobs which carried out on the farm.
This year the pupils were really lucky to be able to watch a lamb being born when visiting the sheep, cows, pigs and donkeys. Additionally, they found out what diversification is and how farmers make an additional income.
