Hawaiian Party!
To celebrate the first day back of the Summer term and their brand new topic 'Hawaii', Year 1 boys invited their parents to join them for a luau, a traditional Hawaiian party!
With Hawaiian music playing in the background the boys were welcomed in and Miss Morris presented them with a lei (garland). They made their way over to Miss Millward who had made some delicious drinks in the very exotic 'Tiki Bar' to grab a mocktail and play in the sand.
This term the boys will be learning about Hawaiian tradition and cultures, the myth of Maui, the Hawaiian economy, the Tiki Warriors, and famous landmarks of Hawaii.
