Young Enterprise Area Final

On Wednesday 18 April, the Sixth Form Young Enterprise (YE) teams took to the stage at the O2 in Slough to deliver their final presentation to a crowd of over 150 people and a team of judges which included CEOs and other professionals across various industries.

There was a great deal of tension in the air as the teams gave an overview of their progress to date and reviewed their success and challenges along the way. It was encouraging to see a confident and professional presentation by the two teams from Claires Court.  Their reviews of the year gave honest reflections of the challenges and opportunities that the YE programme has brought. The students showed how they have risen to the roles they took on at the start with how they developed as individuals within their team.

Kevin Hunt, YE Co-Chair for Slough, Maidenhead and Windsor, commented on how impressed he was with the performances of the teams at the event, stating:

“If you look back at the start of the programme in Cookham in 2017 and then take stock of their performance now, you can only come to the conclusion they have all achieved in important areas of their self development. Their development is the cornerstone of what the programme is in place for.”

Congratulations to Illumination and Foldabag for completing the programme and representing the school so well throughout the competition!
