A Bus Trip To The Library
The Reception girls enjoyed a trip on a local bus to Maidenhead Library to support their topic of 'Journeys'.
Suzanne James Reception Teacher, said:
‘There was much excitement as we waited at the bus stop for the Number 4 bus. The girls looked at the timetable and talked about having to stretch their arms out so the bus knows to stop. Having paid the fare and settled into their seats, one pupil, Aria described the bus ride as 'like being on roller coaster'!
Once we arrived safely at the library we were greeted by Nicola and Joel who talked us through what the library offers. The girls were amazed that you can take out 30 books at one time for free, Eleanor and Thea said you’d have to have strong muscles to carry all of those books!
After a short story and some time to look at books independently it was time to catch the Number 8 bus back to school. The girls had a lovely time visiting the library and I hope that some of them will now sign up to become members and enjoy borrowing books and DVD's for free.’
