Through to the National Finals for the U13 Netball Squad

It was an exciting day on Wednesday 2 December 2015, when the Senior Girls U13 Netball Squad took part in the ISA London West Netball Tournament.
Katie Hudson, PE Teacher gave an account of the tense tournament:
“All of the girls who were a part of the squad played exceptionally well. The first game was against Rookwood. There was some amazing defending from Kate Webster and Ariel Specktor with our shooters (Bella Welch, Jessica Dixon and Isabella Shirley) also putting on an excellent performance scoring 15 goals between them. With the final score Claires Court 15 - Rookwood 0, our hopes were high for the next match.
This saw the girls take on St Catherine's School. Both teams were well matched. Harriet Worthington defended extremely well with the support of Lana Wallis at centre, resulting in close game and a tie, 5-5.
Our last match of the first round was against the leaders, Ibstock Place. Claires Court gave a very good fight. Lana Wallis at center fed the circle well with strong and accurate passing. Kate Webster's blocking in defense was extremely effective. It was a tough match and final score of Claires Court 4 - Ibstock Place 10.
After the first three matches, Claires Court were placed second in the group - a fantastic achievement. Our next two games were to be against LVS and Hawley Place.
The game against LVS (winners of the other group) was incredibly close. The order of court, passing and defending was excellent from all of our players. As the final whistle went, the ball was just leaving Bella's hands.... The final score was Claires Court 5 - LVS 6.... if only we could have had 30 more seconds!
Our final game of the tournament was against Hawley Place; another very competent side. This game was very important - a win here would mean a chance to go to Nationals! Once again the girls played their socks off. Passing was slick and shooting was accurate. All of the girls put every last ounce of passion and skill into every second. And it paid off, the final score was Claires Court 5 - Hawley Place 4.
We were through to the ISA National fInals in March!
Well done to all of the members of the squad who played and supported. A fantastic afternoon of netball was enjoyed by all.”
