RAF Museum

Year 5 boys enjoyed spending the day looking at the different aircraft used in both World Wars during their visit to the RAF Museum in Hendon, London.
They learnt more about the history of aviation and the Royal Air Force. They also had the opportunity to try on uniform and learn about the different roles of people serving in the RAF.
Another highlight of the trip was travelling back to 1940 where they had an opportunity to meet an Air Raid Warden who showed them how to stay safe during blackouts, gas attacks and air raids. This very much supported their current history topic of life during the second world war.
