Year 3 and 4 Outward Bound
Junior Boys and Girls came together and enjoyed some outward bound activities that were not only fun but proved that with team work and resilience you can achieve anything...including conquering lava flows and extreme shelter building...
Year 4 spent the day at Summerleaze Lake and were immersed in challenging problem solving activities, canoeing and sailing. One of the team building activities involved getting a parcel of "toxic waste" over the "field of lava" using only ropes. There was also a tarpaulin challenge, where the girls and boys had to turn the tarpaulin over whilst standing on it!
Year 3 enjoyed a day of bushcraft activities involving shelter building, orienteering and lifesaving skills in the pool at the Junior Boys site. The boys and girls created life-sized art statues in the afternoon using cardboard and paint to create a 3D effect.
Year 3 and 4 all then had a BBQ together followed by team games. Having pitched out their tents, everyone then gathered around a campfire to sing songs and drink hot chocolate before a bedtime story and settling down in tents.
