Hawaiian Closing Party
Year 1 boys celebrated their time learning about Hawaii with a Tiki Bar Closing Party. They had Maori tattoos put on their faces just like Maui from Moana, learnt the Haka and used some of the instruments they have made this term to form a band. The boys were very excited to play the ukulele!
During the first half of the summer term the boys learnt about Hawaiian traditions and cultures, the myth of Maui, the Hawaiian economy, the Tiki Warriors, and famous landmarks of Hawaii.
The boys have also been learning about agriculture in Hawaii and many were excited to try pineapple for the first time. There were lots of snacks, mocktails and plenty of dancing at their party!
