The fun-packed day firstly involved designing and creating cupcakes with a healthy twist. In Food Technology the girls made tasty beetroot and chocolate cupcakes as well as unusual but delicious lime and courgette cupcakes!

Girls then engaged in fun and challenging lessons in Art, Science and Maths, coming up with concepts of how to market their cupcakes, design cake boxes and decide on their pricing strategy. They then delivered a presentation to a tasting panel on their cupcakes and ideas.

Parents arrived at the end of the day for refreshments and a presentation of prizes including the winner of the best cakes - taste and texture, winner of the best cake box design and winner of the best presentation of project.

Parents’ comments highly praised the day - “my daughter had a wonderful day and it has been difficult to get anything but glowing feedback from her”, “my daughter had a lovely day - so much so I handed in her registration form”.
