Wellington Country Park
It was a beautiful sunny morning as the Lower Juniors set off for a trip to Wellington Country Park.
On arrival, the Lower Juniors split into two groups. Year 2 went pond dipping and found a variety of creatures including a crayfish. Reception and Year 1 were 'Bug Hunters' and had to look hard for insects under rocks and logs and then identified insects including beetles, slugs and centipedes, using an insect book.
After lunch, the group went on a dinosaur and fairy hunt. There were shrieks of delight as some girls were convinced they heard fairy music through the fairy doors! After a play in the park it was time to head home, Holly said “it was a marvellous day, the best day ever!”
