Heads Are Turning At Claires Court
At the end of the summer term Claires Court Junior Boys said a fond farewell to their head teacher, Justin Spanswick, who after five years in post (21 years at Claires Court) is taking up the role of executive head within the organisation. Leading up to the last day, the incoming head, Dean Richards, joined the school for many of their events and celebrations, taking the time to meet the pupils, parents and staff.
After his final visit at Prize Giving, Dean, moving from Hampton Prep, reaffirmed his delight at joining the school in September, by saying: “I have been fortunate to have been afforded numerous opportunities since my appointment to visit the Junior Boys. I have seen happy, inquisitive boys eager to engage and showing a genuine sense of togetherness, ambition and personality; supported and challenged by talented and knowledgeable teachers and staff. I am delighted that I will be able to call upon the advice of Justin who has created a wonderful spirit that pervades every part of the school. I look forward to building on the successes of the school and continuing to ensure that everything we do is for the benefit of the boys.”
Justin’s new role will encompass working with the principals alongside the other head teachers, to provide the strategic direction of the school. He commented: “I am delighted to welcome Dean to the Claires Court community and I know that he will bring a wealth of experience, enthusiasm and integrity to the role of head teacher. I am very much looking forward to working with him as we move the school on to its next stage of development. I would also like to thank my staff, parents and pupils for such a wonderful send off as it has been such an enjoyable five years looking after this wonderful school and I am very grateful that I am not going too far!”
