Junior Boys Prize Giving

The Junior Boys annual Prize Giving was held this year on 11 July. The boys astounded the audience of staff and parents with their quirky adaptation of the well known children’s story, ‘The Enormous Crocodile’, by Roald Dahl.
As well as the story’s old favourites - the Roly Poly Bird and Humpy Rumpy the Hippo, the boys casted new characters including police officers investigating the disappearance of children and even some distracted mums in the school playground!
The visiting speaker was Ellie Rayer, former Claires Court Head Girl, now one of the most talented and accomplished hockey players in the world, playing for England and currently competing at the Hockey World Cup in London.
Justin Spanswick, Head of Junior Boys, said:
“The boys and I had been discussing in assemblies how hard work and practice pays dividends. Ellie is the perfect example - I have never seen such a dedicated, determined and hard working athlete in my life.”
