The hotly anticipated annual U9 rugby festival was hosted by Junior Boys on Saturday.
U9 A&B teams from St George's, Moulsford, Gayhurst, Chesham Prep, Berkhamsted and Oratory Prep were warmly welcomed. In total 36 matches were played over the course of the morning with seperate festivals for the A&B teams.
Nick Butterfield, Head of Sport at Junior Boys, said:
“It was a fantastic learning opportunity for all the pupils involved. The U9 teams have all just started playing contact rugby and the standard of tackling throughout the morning was superb. Each coach picked a player from their team who had not only shown great skill, but also sportsmanship; this player was then awarded with a trophy. We look forward to welcoming the schools back again next year.”
