Our three prize winners, Jennifer and Gagla both in Year 7, and Jessica in Year 11, all entered pieces in the teenage category. Jennifer was awarded third prize with her pencil drawing of Maidenhead Bridge, Cagla second for her watercolour painting of the central mall in the Nicholsons Centre and Jessica first, for her piece looking at her memories of Maidenhead in photographs.

In announcing the prizes, Bob Dulson, Chairman, complimented Jessica on her work, commenting that he thought she had come closest to interpreting this year’s theme, “People make it what it is” despite not having a single person portrayed in her piece! Jessica, Cagle and Jennifer each received their awards individually from the Prime Minister, Theresa May who is MP for Maidenhead.

The exhibition is on view in the Nicholsons Centre until Saturday 3 November (closed Mondays and Tuesdays).
