Birmingham Food Trip

Girls studying GCSE Food Technology ventured to Birmingham on a discovery of food and different cuisines.
On the first day of their three day trip, the girls took part in a food hall quiz in Selfridges, identified herbs in a rooftop garden, went bowling, and tried Persian food in the evening.
The next day, the group were given a tour of University College Birmingham and were told about the food courses on offer. To the girls delight, the afternoon entailed a visit to Cadbury World, where they learnt more about the making and manufacturing of chocolate (as well as tasting some of course!) In the evening, all were in amazed as Japanese chefs created beautiful food right in front of their eyes. They even had a go at helping the chef!
On their final day, a food tour round the city saw the group visiting a selection of artisan bakeries and independent food outlets. They returned back to Maidenhead happy and certainly not hungry!
