Normandy Trip

In October half term, Senior Girls and Boys studying French at GCSE embarked on a trip to Normandy in France. Year 9 pupils Molly, Millie and Jess give their account of the trip:
We arrived at Braywick at 4 am. After a day of travel we arrived at the chateau in Normandy. We quickly became familiar with the grounds of the chateau, it was big and full of animals. We also participated in a scavenger hunt which was one of the evening activities and was great. We were lucky enough to experience a range of activities, including climbing, fencing, archery, French classes, indoor games and an evening campfire, with marshmallows. On one occasion we tasted even snails as part of dinner!
The catch to this trip was ...they only spoke in French! - although we caught on in no time. On the last day we took a trip out to the market and used the vocabulary we had learnt. We visited Mont-Saint-Michel which involved a lot of stair climbing but it was good to learn some of France's history. We would recommend this trip and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank You to Mme Lattimer and Mr Anzel.
