An impressive six golds and three silver medals were achieved by Year 6 pupil Rhiannon, Year 8 pupil Nathan, Year 6 pupil Callum and Year 10 pupil Matthew, after they competed in the National Swimming Gala for London West, held in the Aquatic Centre at the Olympic Park.

Rhiannon won three gold medals in the 50m breaststroke, 200m freestyle relay and 200m individual medley relay. She also won a silver medal in the 50m freestyle.

In the Year 8 men's 200m medley, Nathan took over in the last leg when his team were in 3rd place and he swam to 1st place, winning gold! Callum, with his team, won a gold in the Year 6 boys 200m freestyle team event. Matthew won the silver medal in 100 metre breaststroke and was part of the London West team which won gold on the 4 x 50 metre medley relay, where he swam the breaststroke leg.

The pupils were delighted to be handed their awards by Olympians Chris Walker-Hebborn and Joe Roebuck. Well done!
