Future Chef Competition
Year 10 girls studying GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition recently took part in the school heat of the Springboard Future Chef national competition.
Judges included Kat Mead, Head of Operations at the renowned Oaks pubs group (which includes the award winning White Oak in Cookham), Administrative Principal Hugh Wilding and Head of Senior Girls, Margaret Heywood.
Seren won Thursday’s round with her fresh crab filled ravioli served with a rich parmesan, vino and parsley sauce and asparagus, and Ariel won Friday’s round with her homemade salmon tagliatelle with white wine cream.
The two winners, Seren and Ariel, will progress to the area heat in Aylesbury in January. The girls will be required to make two courses, main and dessert, for two people in 90 minutes. Good luck girls!
