Bronze Arts Award

Ten Year 9 pupils with an interest in the arts recently all passed the ‘Bronze Arts Award’, an internationally recognised qualification.
As part of the year-long process for achieving the award, pupils had to learn a skill, attend an exhibition as an art critic, research and inspirational role model and deliver a presentation, and finally, pass their skill on to other pupils.
The girls and boys chose to focus on either the arts or photography, learning about portrait photography, camera skills, mood boards, textiles and watercolours.
Nikki Sheffield, Learning Support Assistant, and photographer, said:
“It’s been an absolute pleasure teaching the pupils the fundamentals of photography and watching them individually grow in their confidence, knowledge and style. I have been incredibly impressed with their commitment.”
