Over £600 Raised During Mufti Charity Day
Two pupils, Dylan and Jake, recently asked if the Junior Boys school community would support them in raising money for two charities close to their hearts; Friends of The Holy Cross Hospital and the Art Fund.
The reason behind the boys wanting to support these two charities is firstly, The Holy Cross Hospital is the facility where their mother, Rachel, lives permanently due to her need for specialist life long care due to sustaining a life changing injury in 2015. Secondly, the Art Fund aims to ensure that great art remains available to the public. This charity was chosen by the boys and their father, Luke, due to Rachel's love of the arts. She was never happier than when spending time in the galleries and museums in London, across Europe, and worldwide.
To support the family, Junior Boys held a mufti day on Wednesday, 5 December, and kindly asked for each pupil to make a donation to support these charities. Funds raised are to be divided equally between the two charities.
Year 4 pupils (Jake's year group) and Year 6 pupils (Dylan's year group) also brought in cakes on the day to sell to their peers during morning break. It was lovely to see the boys year groups showing their classmates their support.
The collaborative fundraising raised a wonderful £620.03.
