Lower Junior Girls Nativity
This year, Lower Junior Girls presented ‘Born in a Barn’, written by Nikki Lewis, much to the delight of the audience.
The plot centred around there being a great deal of commotion, but plenty of excitement in a Bethlehem stable, when the animals realise there’s a baby in their barn. The cows, sheep, pigs, cat and cockerel all learn about their special guest from the donkey that brought him and the guests that follow. As more and more visitors arrive to greet the new king, the animals slowly realise what a privilege it is to share their home with such an important baby.
The girls sang songs including ‘Shh, Don't Wake The Baby’, ‘No Room, No Room, ‘We Are Camels’ and ‘He’s The King’. This year the girls had to deliver more lines and they all did exceptionally well.
Leanne Kirby, Head of Junior Girls, said:
“This morning was an true joy to behold! Lower Junior pupils demonstrated a wealth of talent from learning lines, dances, movements and acting skills which were exceptional for pupils aged seven and younger! The girls exuded confidence and energy, and started Christmas season with a bang! Well done to everyone involved!”
