Performers’ Platform

Another exciting Autumn of performing arts in the Senior Girls community was celebrated with the ‘Performers' Platform’.
Senior Girls put on a performing arts showcase encompassing a range of musical and LAMDA performances, featuring school ensembles, choir and various solos; some of which students have been working on towards public examinations.
A Christmas performance was given, inspired by 'A Christmas Carol' with the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future, each of which were represented with a song. Felicity performed a moving rendition of 'A Christmas Song' to represent the past. The Harmony Choir sung a beautiful acapella arrangement of 'Silent Night' and collectively the girls performed 'Winter Wonderland' (with some audience participation!) to represent the present. Finally, a representation of the future was displayed with a song titled 'A Christmas Wish' that talented Year 10 pupil Hannah had composed herself.
Daniel Gravett, Senior Girls Head of Music, said:
“Wow what an evening - congratulations girls on another fantastic term of performing arts. The Chapel was transformed into a festive wonderland by our performers. Our students are the future and there is so much talent building in the ranks!”
