Dramatic Greek Battle

In the late summer of 480 BC a small group of ancient Greek hoplites made a courageous last stand to block the pass at Thermopylae - the gateway to Athens. They were outnumbered and facing impossible odds, as the arrows of the enemy blotted out the Hellenic sun.
In the mid-morning of Monday 21 January 2019, Year 6 donned their armour, fixed their home-made shields on their arms and marched boldly into the sports' hall to emulate the tactics and bravery of these legendary warriors (due to health & safety legislation beanbags served as a substitute for arrows).
