Natural History Museum
Year 1 boys and girls had a fantastic time taking in the sights and sounds of the Natural History Museum.
They saw lots of dinosaur fossils and were excited to see the fossils Mary Anning discovered, after learning about her life in the classroom. Another highlight for the girls and boys was watching a huge robotic T-Rex in action. An earthquake room simulated a Japanese supermarket during an earthquake, and they found it nerve wracking when it shook!
In an interactive workshop the group learned all about 'Sophie' the Stegosaurus, by looking at a recreated skeleton and handling copies of bones. They were fascinated to find out that its brain was only the size of a lime!
