The evening began with the opening scenes of 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone' accompanied by some Dumbledore’s Delight Juice and Hufflepuff Popcorn.

The boys were visited by Hogwarts very own gentle giant Rubeus Hagrid who was very happy to have photos taken with each of the boys and even had a photo with Junior Boys very own 'Dumbledore', Head of Junior Boys, Mr Richards!

They then had a session on the Harry Potter website to discover their character name. The bravest boys tried the sweets ‘Bertie Botts Every Flavoured Beans’, tested their own magical ability using the Silver Orb, and finally they had a visit to Ollivanders, a wand shop! The evening finished with a candlelit story telling session in the library led by our very own Professor Hogg.

Peter, Year 4 pupil, said:

“My favourite part of the party was making a wand. I was really gluey and glittery.”

Harry added: “My favourite part of the party was using a Van De Graaff because it was funny to see my hair stick up.”
